 If you want a break from the undergraduate coursework, or want to save some money, check this out.

 The program is inviting four hundred individuals to teach English to students and to experience and learn about Korean culture.

 Participants will receive Korean government scholarships and teach English in after-school classes at Korean elementary schools while enjoying cultural experience programs during their leisure time. Recipients will be placed at schools in rural areas in need of greater exposure to English and teach the language by forming one-to-one working partnerships with Korean university volunteers. The ideal candidate should have a desire to work with children and possess flexibility with regard to working in a shared classroom setting.

 This scholarship offers you a chance to:

- Take a bit of a break from coursework and the things that you are used to,

- experience the new culture of Korea

- make some money for yourself

 Benefits that you will receive from the scholarship:

- Monthly allowance of 1,500,000 KRW (begins in September, 2008)

- Accommodation: Personal accommodation or home-stay

- Round-trip Airfare

- National Health Insurance fee(100%)

- One time settlement allowance of 300,000 KRW

- Chances to participate in cultural experience programs

- Korean language acquisition

- Buddy system : A student from a local college/university will be designated as your partner and help you adjust

 Applicants Must be at least in their 3rd year of undergraduate coursework.

Contract term & other conditions;

 6 months contract

Teaching 15 hours per week

 12 month contract
